# VIP Program

**Note:** Effective September 7, 2026, RWA perpetual pairs taker fee will be updated to **1.25 bps.**

**Note:** Effective September 7, 2026, Crypto Group B perpetual pairs fees will be updated. See the Group B fee table below.

**Note:** Effective June 10, 2026, Maker volume on RWA perpetual pairs now counts 10× toward the VIP fee tiers.

### Overview

The Aster VIP Program rewards our highest volume users by offering exclusive benefits and privileges.

VIP status is assessed daily at 23:59 UTC, based on two criteria that must both be met:

* **Rolling 14-day trading volume** — spot and perps volume (USD)
* **$ASTER holding balance** — calculated as a daily average across your accounts

VIP members receive reduced taker fees for both spot and perps trading. Refer to the VIP tier table for specific volume thresholds and fee rates by level.

### **Trading Pair Categories**

All perpetual trading pairs on Aster are classified into two categories:

**Crypto** — Pairs based on digital assets, further divided into:

* **General** — Major and established crypto pairs, following the standard VIP fee schedule.
* **Group B** — Selected crypto perpetual pairs that follow a separate fee schedule.

**RWA** — Pairs based on real-world assets, carrying a fixed taker fee across all VIP levels.

####  **Crypto — General Pairs Fee Rates**

General pairs follow the base VIP taker fee schedule as shown in the VIP tier table above. All maker fees are zero.

#### **Crypto — Group B Fee Rates**

Group B pairs are higher-volatility, early-stage crypto perpetual pairs. These pairs carry differentiated fee rates reflecting their risk profile.

#### **RWA Perpetual Fee Rates**

RWA perpetual pairs carry a uniform taker fee across all VIP levels to reflect the underlying asset structure. All maker fees are zero.

### **$ASTER Holding Balance Calculation**

Your daily $ASTER balance is the combined average of holdings across your Spot account, Perpetual account and Aster Staking balance.

**Total Daily Average ASTER Balance = Daily Average Spot Balance + Daily Average Perpetual Balance+ Daily Average Staking Balance**

**Note:** Hourly snapshots occur at random times within each hour. Pending orders are included in the balance. Each day runs from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 UTC.
